Our Mission
At the heart of our mission is the transformative journey of the soul—awakening hearts to the love of Allah, devotion to the Prophet ﷺ, and the embodiment of noble character. Our History
Sufi Council Norway draws inspiration from the rich and deep-rooted spiritual lineage of the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Saifi Order, which traces its origins back to the Islamic Prophet ﷺ through Syed Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.). Though the Naqshbandi tradition was not initiated by Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari (Q.S.), he is a central figure in its 14th-century development, greatly shaping and spreading the path of inner purification and divine connection. In the present era, the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Order has been revived through the guidance of Akhundzada Saif-ur-Rehman Mubarak Sahb (Q.S.), the Mujaddid (reviver) of this century. Mubarak Sahb (Q.S.) reintroduced the original teachings of Imam Rabbani Mujaddid Alf-Thani (Q.S.), breathing new life into the practices that defined his time. Under Mubarak Sahb’s leadership, the order flourished, with over 55,000 Khulafah (Deputies) and millions of followers worldwide. His leadership has heralded a spiritual renaissance, reconnecting seekers with the divine presence and guiding them towards deep inner purification and awakening. In Norway, Syed Muddassir Hussain Shah Al-Zaidi (D.B.A.), with the blessings of his Shaykh Sayyiduna Wakeel Sarkar (D.B.A.), founded Sufi Council Norway as a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual growth. Through his leadership, the council continues to uphold and share the timeless teachings of the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Saifi Order, providing a space for individuals to connect with the divine, rediscover their inner peace, and fulfill their spiritual purpose in today’s complex world.

Our Practices
Our teachings are rooted in three key spiritual practices that guide seekers on the journey of inner purification, alignment with divine will, and the realization of Allah’s presence in every moment.
Rabita
Rabita is the sacred bond between the seeker and the Shaykh, fostering spiritual alignment and guidance. Through this connection, the seeker receives light, wisdom, and support, helping them navigate the path to Allah.
Dhikr
Dhikr is the continuous remembrance of Allah through the repetition of His name. It purifies the heart, strengthens the seeker’s connection to the Divine, and keeps their focus on Allah in every moment.
Muraqabah
Muraqabah is the practice of silent meditation and inner awareness, enabling the seeker to experience Allah’s presence, purify their soul, and attain spiritual insight and closeness to the Divine.
